Beginning Knitter

Finished Size: 7″ wide by 60″ long

Materials: 1 skein Katia Boreal (66 yds/200 grams); US 35 (20mm) needles; optional 1 ball Sublime Woolly Merino (96 yds/50 grams); model knit in Boreal 56 and Woolly Merino 182.

Gauge: not important

Instructions:
With US 35 needles cast on 7 sts leaving a 8″ tail. Work in garter stitch (knit every stitch and every row) until there is enough yarn left to bind off leaving an 8″ tail.
With your hand weave the two tails across the first and last rows of stitches to draw up the ends. Tuck the ends down though several stitches before trimming the tails. Make two large pompoms from the Woolly Merino or from yarn from your stash. Tie the pompoms to each end.
