Finished size: 22" head circumference
Materials: 1 skein Classic Elite Stormy (50 grams/110 yds); US 9 (5.5mm) 16" circular needle and US 9 double point needles
Gauge: 4 sts = 1" over stockinette stitch in the rnd on US 9 needle or size to get gauge
Instructions:
With US 9 needle cast on 88 sts. Join sts being careful not to twist sts. Place marker and work in k2, p2 rib for 2".Change to stockinette stitch (knitting every rnd) and con't working until piece measures approx. 6.5" (7") from beg cast on edge.

Next rnd (dec): *K10, k2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. (77 sts)
Next rnd (dec): *K9, k2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. (70 sts)
Next rnd (dec): *K8, k2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. (63 sts)
Next rnd (dec): *K7, k2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. (56 sts)
Next rnd (dec): *K6, k2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. (49 sts)
When necessary change to US 9 double point needles.
Next rnd (dec): *K5, k2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. (42 sts)
Next rnd (dec): *K4, k2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. (35 sts)
Next rnd (dec): *k3, k2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. (28 sts)
Next rnd (dec): *k2tog; rep from * to end of rnd. (14 sts)
Cut yarn leaving a tail and thread trail through rem sts. Pull tight and weave tail into WS of hat.
