Beginning Knitters

Finished Size: approx. 6" wide and 76" long

Materials: 2 skeins Colinette's Prism (100 grams/125 yds); US 11 (8mm) needles; sample shown in color 110 Autumn

Gauge: 4.25 sts = 1" over pattern stitch on US 11 needles or size to get gauge

Note:
Slip all sts as if to purl. Hold your yarn to the front when slipping sts on knit rows and in the back when slipping sts on purl rows. If you want fringe, then set aside the neccessary yardage before you begin knitting.

Instructions:
With US 11 needle cast on 26 sts.
Row 1 (RS): * K1, move yarn to front and slip next st purlwise; move yarn back; rep from * to end of row
Row 2 (WS): *P1, move yarn to the back and slip next st purlwise; move yarn to the front; rep from * to end of row.
Rep rows 1 & 2 until there is enough yarn to bind off all sts.
